Dr. Marla Martin, PsyD, LP, is a Doctor of Psychology specializing in ADHD Diagnostic Assessment and Management, Sports Psychology and Psychotherapy.

Dr. Martin earned her PsyD in counseling psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and her M.A. in counseling psychology from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. She completed training at the University of Minnesota Medical School Pediatric Psychology Department and completed her clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Allina Health where she trained in the Child & Adolescent department providing individual therapy and psychological testing.
Areas of Practice
ADHD Diagnostic Assessment
Comprehensive, individualized evaluations for children (ages 6+), adolescents and adults are recommended in order to obtain the most accurate understanding of functioning. Dr. Martin will administer gold standard evidence-based measures designed to assess domains including:
intellectual functioning
academic achievement
language skills
memory
executive functioning
Evaluations also include information gathered in clinical interviews, caregiver and/or teacher rating scales and behavior observations. Dr. Martin will summarize this information in a written report along with diagnoses and recommendations for treatment and relevant accommodations.
Dr. Martin will meet with you to provide testing feedback, answer questions, and discuss tools and interventions so you leave the assessment process feeling confident in how to support and advocate for your child or yourself.
Dr. Martin offers a 4-session package to provide individualized support following an ADHD diagnosis. Sessions would include the client and parents (if the client is a minor). Therapy topics may include establishing support at school, creating systems at home for improved functioning, increasing emotional control, goal setting, parenting to increase desired behaviors or other topics.
Sports Psychology
Looma Sports Psychology is offered by Dr. Marla Martin, a Licensed Psychologist specializing in the improvement of mental health and wellness of athletes at all levels and ages to thrive in and out of the sport. Dr. Martin has a doctoral degree in Psychology and years of experience in working with athletes at high school, college, and professional levels. We support clients with a wide range of concerns to help restore overall well-being in sports, and more importantly, life.

Dr. Martin works with a wide range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, adoption concerns, and ADHD.
